My journey in Learning & Development began with a strong foundation in mortgage processing and underwriting. Starting at First Union Mortgage Corporation and later at Mortgage Professional Services, I honed my skills in compliance, quality assurance, and workflow management. These early experiences instilled in me a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards, setting the stage for my future endeavors in process improvement and training.
Growth and Specialization
As my career progressed, I took on more specialized roles, including Contract Underwriter and Operations Team Lead at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Here, I managed teams, developed new procedures, and resolved complex underwriting issues. Winning a National Service Award for exceptional performance was a pivotal moment that reinforced my passion for leading teams and driving operational excellence. This phase of my career solidified my expertise in developing efficient workflows and enhancing team productivity.
Leadership and Innovation
Transitioning into roles at Clayton Services, I embraced opportunities to lead large-scale projects and implement innovative training programs. As Director of Business Process and Quality Control, and later as Director of Training, I spearheaded initiatives that significantly improved efficiency, reduced costs, and enhanced quality. My work in designing and deploying quality control strategies and integrating advanced learning management systems has been instrumental in driving organizational success.
Current Focus and Future Goals
Today, as a Consultant, I continue to develop and optimize workflows, create custom training modules, and implement quality control processes for diverse clients. My goal is to help organizations achieve operational excellence and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
